Rowena & James's day in the Tuscan countryside began in a classic bedroom, moved to a stone ruin for the ceremony and ended with a long dinner and a first dance.
getting ready
The bridesmaids wore blue robes and laughed on a large bed. The men gathered in tuxedos in a wood-paneled library. The bride put on her earrings and picked up a bouquet of white roses and anemones.
the ceremony
The aisle was a gravel path lined with wooden chairs and orange flowers, leading to a stone ruin with floral arches at its door. The bride walked down it in a long veil. Afterward the couple walked back through falling white petals while guests applauded.
the cocktail hour
Guests mingled on a wooden deck beside a rectangular pool. The couple poured champagne into a tower of coupes and held orange cocktails, with the old stone walls behind them.
the dinner
A long table ran outside under string lights, with wooden chairs, orange dahlias, tall candles and handwritten menus. The dessert was a large meringue covered in berries. Later the couple danced in a dark room lit by beams of light.
