Cap Estel wedding cost
The hotel publishes nothing. What follows comes from planners who work the property, so treat it as an order of magnitude to plan against and confirm every figure with the sales team.
Exclusive use of the estate runs around 58,000€ a night out of season, from October, and somewhere between 80,000€ and 100,000€ a night in high summer, roughly mid-May to September. Published sources disagree on the summer figure, which tells you something in itself: the rate is negotiated per event rather than fixed.
The 3 night minimum appears consistently across sources, and some report 5 nights in high season. On the summer rate, 3 nights puts the venue line alone somewhere in the region of 240,000€ to 300,000€ before anything else is spent.
Catering sits on top. Menus start at 170€ per person for 3 courses and 190€ for 4, drinks excluded.
Put plainly, this is a venue whose entry point sits above Villa Ephrussi, which planners list from around 100,000€, and above the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat at around 60,000€, while landing below the Eden-Roc full privatisation at around 480,000€.

Wet weather plan at Cap Estel
This is the field where Cap Estel is weakest, and it deserves a straight answer rather than reassurance.
The gardens hold three times what the salons do, and there is no published third option in between. On a coast where a September evening can turn without much warning, a 150-guest wedding here has no documented indoor fallback that holds the whole party.
Three things to settle with the hotel before committing, in this order. Whether a marquee is permitted on the terraces, and which specific terrace. What the wet-weather plan is for a seated dinner that outgrows the salons. And whether the midnight outdoor music rule shifts at all if the party is already indoors.
The upside of the buyout model is that a Plan B here is yours to design. With no other guests on the estate, every covered space is available to your event, which is not true at a running hotel. The constraint is physical space, not competing bookings.
Imposed suppliers at Cap Estel
Catering is in-house. La Table du Cap Estel holds one Michelin star, and the wedding menus quoted above come from that kitchen rather than from a caterer you appoint. There is an in-house wedding coordinator on the property as well.
Menu pricing is the negotiation, not supplier choice. On the other hand a one-star kitchen cooking for 130 in its own house tends to hold a standard that an outside caterer working a strange venue cannot match, so the trade is real in both directions.

Getting to Cap Estel
By car. The hotel states 20 minutes from Nice Côte d'Azur airport by motorway, and 15 minutes from Monaco. The property sits on the at 1312 Avenue Raymond Poincaré, 06360 Èze-Bord-de-Mer. Independent transfer services put the airport run closer to 35 minutes in normal conditions, and rush hour on the A8 and the coastal road adds 20 to 30 minutes on top. For a wedding day arrival, plan on the longer figure.
By helicopter. 6 minutes from Nice, 10 minutes from the Monaco heliport. Also quoted by the hotel: 15 minutes from Cannes and Sanremo, 25 from Saint-Tropez, 1 hour from Corsica, and 1h45 from Geneva or Milan.
By boat. The private beach is reachable by sea, with a stated maximum depth of 1.50m in calm conditions. The hotel asks that access be arranged through reception. For guests coming from Monaco it is a workable arrival and a good deal more photogenic than the coast road.

Spaces and capacity at Cap Estel
The gardens and terrace. The main reception ground, running along the top of the peninsula above the sea. The ficus trees that shape these gardens were planted in the early 1900s and are now the estate's signature. Sea on 3 sides means there is no bad angle and no neighbouring property in frame, which is rarer on this coast than photographs suggest. Dinner sits out here, and above the published seated figure the evening starts to spread across the terraces. That reads well and complicates speeches.
The salons of the main villa. A Florentine-inspired house with its original proportions kept. Two jobs: the wet-weather room, and where the party moves after midnight when the outdoor music stops.
The Temple of Love. A small garden folly the hotel offers for ceremonies of two to 4 guests. The right answer for an elopement rather than a detail of a large wedding.
The private cove and beach. Below the terraced gardens, reachable on foot and also by boat, with a stated maximum depth of 1.50m in calm seas. A welcome lunch or a morning-after swim rather than a ceremony.
Two sea-view pools, spa, tennis court. Part of the exclusive-use package, which matters because a 3 night buyout is a 3 day event, and the pool days on either side of the wedding carry as much of the atmosphere as the dinner does.

Where to stay near Cap Estel
With 20 rooms on the estate, this section matters more here than at any other Riviera venue.
The 20 rooms and suites split across 4 parts of the property: Le Cap, the main villa, plus La Mer at beach level, Les Jardins in the gardens, and Le Parc above the water. Suites run from roughly 50 to 500 m². Under a buyout these are yours to allocate, which usually means immediate family and the wedding party.
For everyone else, the geography works in your favour. Monaco is 15 minutes east, which is where most overflow blocks end up given the number of rooms in the principality. Villefranche-sur-Mer and Beaulieu-sur-Mer are the closer and quieter option. Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, 10 minutes away, puts guests near the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat if you are also using this for other events in the weekend.
Choosing between Cap Estel and the alternatives
Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc
Bigger, grander, and it runs as a hotel around you. Eden-Roc suits a longer guest list; Cap Estel suits a list that wants the place to itself.
Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat
10 minutes west, and it sleeps far more of your party on site. Cap-Ferrat is the answer when the buyout is not.
Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild
Gardens no hotel can match, and zero bedrooms. Ephrussi is a ceremony and dinner; Cap Estel is a 3 day stay.
